Georgia is again one of the best football teams in the country. No doubt the David Pollack referances will soon return to CBS. Also, David Pollack now actually works for CBS so that he and Verne can be closer.
At some point in this Saturday's Ole Miss/ LSU game the broadcast will sound something like this:
Danielson: Matt Flynn to Early Doucet...tocuhdown. It's like they're playing pitch and catch out there.
Verne: Ah, pitch and catch with the football, just as David Greene and David Pollack used to play in the shadows of Samford Stadium and on the pee wee field when they were only 6 years old.
Danielson: What? Oh...(realizing the Georgia Bulldogs have returned to their old form and it is now appropriate for Verne to restablish his man crush, although to a lesser degree since Greene got married last August). It's nice to have you back Verne.
